Collagen Induction Therapy

Harnessing the natural healing ability of the skin, Dermapen micro needling is for those looking for a crisp clean complexion.

Dermapen Microneedling, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy, is the insertion of very fine short needles into the skin, creating microscopic punctures, that not only stimulates new collagen production through the healing process, but also allows active ingredients, such as peptides, anti-oxidants, hyaluronic acid, growth factor, etc., to penetrate deeply and effectively into the dermis.
With immediate and overtime improving results, microneedling will leave your skin plumped and glowing and with time improvement of acne scars, wrinkles, large pores, skin texture and tone.

Microneedling can be used on any part of the body and boasts a very short recovery time.

The skin needling treatments are performed in a safe and precise manner with a sterile, single use needle head and are usually completed in 90 minutes.

The range of benefits from Collagen Induction Therapy are wide. Not only does it build new healthy skin but it helps in treatment for many skin health issues.

Such as: fine lines/wrinkles, acne scars large pores, stretch marks, dull skin, uneven texture and more.

Because Collagen Induction Therapy uses tiny, ultrafine needles to penetrate the skin, our specialist  is aware of the exact level of skin that must be reached in order to achieve results safely. Going too shallow won’t reach the layer producing the elastin stimulation and collagen protein needed to rebuild the skin. By going too deep, the needle can become invasive and undermine the skins protective barrier.

Through research and experience, our trained specialists has learned the depth that breeds both healthy results and steers away from pain and harm.

A common misconception is that one session is enough, this is false.

We recommend a series of 4-6 treatments, 2-4 weeks apart with in 6 months the first time. After that, 4 treatments spread out in a year is recommended to keep up the results. Sessions may very depending on each

patient though.

Microneedling has minimal downtime. The inflammation and redness of the skin will typically reduce during the first 48 hours after treatment. It’s also recommended to avoid putting on makeup, or any other topical skincare products with AHA’s (Glycolic Acid), retinol, acidic or “active” irritating ingredients during the rest of the day. Your skin may also be a little more sensitive to sunlight, so you should avoid direct sun exposure for about a week after the session. Regular activity can be resumed the next day. Please follow the Post-Procedure handout for optimal results and to minimize side effects.
